Hands Up Visuals photographer and videographer Derek Poore won first place in the Kentucky News Photographer Association's annual multimedia competition. The video, which was produced for the Courier-Journal and about a boarding school in Louisville, Ky., competed with over 20 other entrees from professionals from all over the state.
